Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility):
Set, and analyze network KPIs for ensuring consistency and proposing proactive performance optimization measures.
Produce subscriber traffic model to substantiate planning while ensuring network design compliance with regulations.
Manage signal level and quality enhancements/ modifications; Update CMU Technology and OpCos with network strategy.
Specific Accountabilities
Manage network KPIs and perform network consistency checks with the support of the contractors.
Set the benchmarks for signal level and quality; and manage the enhancements and modifications.
Provide guidance to OpCos network operations and maintenance; Co-ordinate with Group Operations Performance Management and Group Strategic Performance Management.
Collaborate with Mobile Network Planning and keep CMU Technology and OpCos updated with network strategy.
Liaise with Network Planning and Management to set network KPIs and assist OpCos in assigning KPI threshold levels.
Coordinate with Network Planning & Management, to make sure they analyze measured KPIs; propose proactive measures to enhance performance.
Produce subscribers’ traffic model across OpCos and coordinate with Network Planning and Management.
Ensure that network design is compliant with regulatory rules and requirements.
Generic Accountabilities
Provide advice and assist in the implementation of the Technology Strategy in area of responsibility across the Group
Conduct analysis for the optimization of specified Technology processes to support the enhancement of functional performance and efficiency
Collate and review drafts of the financial and manpower budget for the area of responsibility.
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
Formal Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mobile & Communications Technology or equivalent
Related Professional Training, Certification or Membership:
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Management with majors in Telecommunications & Networks; Certification in Telecommunication Networks
Years & Field of Experience required:
6 to 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in the Network Performance & Optimization Department of a large and progressive business organization, preferably a telecom company
