Job description
In this role you will be responsible to provide creative direction and manage the development of concept and execution of projects, atmospheric entertainment, shows and/or events from inception through production including rehearsals and performance. Fluent in all aspects of live entertainment, including but not limited to musicals, plays, dance, concerts, street entertainment, parades, and video/music production.



Main Duties:

Through close collaboration with Director - Live Entertainment and Director - Entertainment Motiongate, the Show Director is accountable for establishing entertainment show quality standards with the operational areas to ensure on-going show quality is maintained.
Collaborates with Production and Technical management to create and maintain all entertainment within assigned area with attention to both innovative creative content and responsible budget considerations.
Maintains library of resource materials associated with production including scripts, blocking books, character training, scores, recording
Leads creative effort for events and seasonal productions.
Manage implementation of relevant electronic systems to bring efficiency and effectiveness existing processes.IE: Stage Write, Casting documents, talent contracts.
Develop cross training and seasonal promotion opportunities for staff and cast members
Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Management Team

Desired Skills and Experience
In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:




Essential:

University diploma in theatrical studies
Minimum of 5 years proven professional experience directing live entertainment experiences in theatre, theme parks, cruise lines, and/or directing experience in industrial show products
Demonstrated knowledge of creative writing, stage performance, musical theatre, and technical theatre/stage craft
Demonstrated strong computer proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Etc.)
Strong presentation skills
Proven excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and shows simultaneously
Desirable:

Masters in Theatrical Studies
Business Administration Studies
Fashion and/or costume experience
Video and audio editing and creation and direction
Protools, Ableton Live, DAW
Photoshop, Illustrator
