Job description
Plan, organize, manage and control the procurement of merchandise for a group of Merchandise Divisions in line with Brand Partner(s) strategies and the Company’s trading strategy.

MERCHANDISING / PRODUCT STRATEGY

Implement the Company Merchandising Strategy for procurement of Merchandise which incorporates and interprets the Brand Partner(s) procurement strategies in order to deliver and preserve the brand identity within the particular Retail Group.

BUSINESS PLAN STRATEGY

Implement a Sales/Profit Planning Strategy for each brand which incorporates the various sales /profit parameters in order to achieve or exceed the Business Plan objectives



MARKET INTELLIGENCE AND ANALYSIS

To drive product optimisation by updating all stake holders on product performance through in-depth analysis highlighting all product trends across the market.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Comply with the stock turn parameters for each brand in order to benchmark against industry standards and best practice and take the necessary action to improve stock turn performance measures.

HR MANAGEMENT

Optimize the utilization of Human Resources in the Department through ongoing coaching, performance appraisals, training and development and motivation in order to maximize productivity.



MIS

Utilize the procurement MIS system in order to submit regular MIS reports to management for decision making.

Travel

Undertake business travel in line with business requirements

Seasonal Sales performance tracking

Full selection of assortment of garments for each brand in the store is in offer.

Merchandising team functions at maximum productivity.

Timely and accurate MIS reports for decision making.
