Director - Business Development - Northrop Grumman Corporation - Riyadh


Job description
Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a Director of Business Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Northrop Grumman is a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions in unmanned systems, cyber, C4ISR, and logistics and modernization to government and commercial customers worldwide. The Director will be responsible for managing Saudi Arabia, UAE and other Middle East business development campaigns.
The successful candidate will work closely with Ministry of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), other military services and ministries, and the Saudi Arabia National Guard (SANG), to identify and shape near and long term opportunities, build a solid pipeline and conduct the activities in the early phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP) leading to opportunity identification and qualification. They will serve as the principal liaison with all key customers within assigned market segment and perform ongoing assessments of customer requirements, determine market trends and develop strategies for the application of NG capabilities and discriminators against specific customer needs / opportunities. The qualified candidate will understand customer organizations, budgets, near and mid-term procurements, required investments and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors in the addressable space; will assess NG market position versus competitors in the market segment by assessing their strengths, weaknesses and vulnerabilities; will be responsible for identifying and qualifying targets to meet business requirements within the Long Range Strategic Plan and will provide guidance and direction to Business Development and Capture Managers who are pursuing specific business opportunities within the business area. The Director will be in a key leadership role and will be responsible for the integration and communication of the Technical Services Business Development vision into the larger country plans for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region as well as the strategy, requirements shaping, business portfolio growth, campaign development, investment planning, acquisition, marketing and organization. Accountable for ensuring that overall Northrop Grumman budgets, schedules, and performance standards are met.



Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in Business Development or in a Profit and Loss (P&L) position.
Business Development experience in the Middle East and KSA experience.
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience.
Business Development experience in domestic and international spaces.
Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies and close deals.
Proven ability to motivate and energize a team to produce winning solutions.
Proven ability to develop and implement creative strategies into winning bids.
Demonstrate excellent written/verbal communications skills & presentation skills.
Experience and expertise with a Business Acquisition Process or similar experience.
Moderate to frequent travel will be required.
Strong customer network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Must be eligible to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
10 years+ experience in Business Development or in a Profit and Loss (P&L) position.
Experience with the Royal Saudi Air Force and other military services or ministries, such as Land Forces or the Ministry of Interior.
Knowledge of FCPA (foreign corrupt practices act), and/or experience transacting US Company business in KSA.
Military experience.
Business Development experience in providing one or more innovative systems in national security and aerospace products and services including (but not limited to): unmanned systems, cyber, C4ISR, logistics and modernization to government and commercial customers.
