Job Description One of the world's leading Group in luxury good and retail is looking to hire a General Manager for their operations with demonstrated experience in watches and jewellery.The GM will lead the Luxury business in Qatar, with a solid line reporting relationship to the Chief Operating Officer, Luxury, as well as a dotted line to the Executive Vice President. The GM will help devise a competitive strategy for the business aligned with the overall strategy of the Luxury business stream. He/she would be required to build and drive the team, develop world class service standards, and deliver sustainable high-quality growth in sales and profits.Additional BenefitsAttractive with perksWhat you must haveThe ideal candidate should possess a University degree, with 10-12 years experience in the Luxury industry, of which at least 7 in leadership roles coupled with experience and knowledge of strategy, operations and organization in the Luxury market (customers, competition, trends, etc). Outgoing, engaging, mature, emotionally confident, and culturally skilful personality, strong leader, mentor, developer of talent with proven leadership skills, including team building and coaching skills with Strong and proven Sales & Marketing, Business Development expertise, and financial understanding on areas like working capital, and cash flow, P&L management, project valuation. Desired Skills & Experience Qualification: Masters Degree, Business Administration Experience: 10 To 12 yrs Industry Exposure: Perfume & Cosmetics Additional Skill Set: Executive presence: exhibits a presence that contributes to the ability to command attention and respect; conveys an air of confidence with Business and financial acumen – ability to build credible business plans and Proficient strategist - being able to blend own functional/business strategy with that of the overall stream and group. While having all of the above he/she should be in tune with market and competitive trends in the industry, is directionally flexible and able to adapt to changing competitive contexts. It would be mandatory for this candidate to be speaking French as the role would require the same.
