Overview:
This role will be accountable for the operational aspects of the function or team and has responsibility to contribute to a specific department or group. Focus is on setting goals and priorities and
follow-through for execution. Allocate accountability among staff and, manages their career aspirations. Focus is on guiding and shaping the department by utilising previous experience and combining technical knowledge. Responsible for processing of high complexity tasks like closing large value sales deals, negotiating on complex contracts, generating enquiries for new products / services etc., Does not work under supervision to acquire skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Establish contacts with client-side managers and decision makers, to develop, manage and cultivate high-level sales.
- Create and maintain a sales plan. Identify prospects and create entry strategies. Utilize business and financial knowledge to create value propositions.
- Create and implement sales methodologies, strategies, and management systems
- Focus on leveraging existing relationships, generate new clients, capture market share, secure new, significant, large-scale clients.
- Drive all aspects of identification, targeting, and closing including end-to-end responsibility for entire sales cycle; identify, develop and close deals.
- The role is a client-facing role and will act as functional consultant for customers. Establishes new and maintains existing long-term relationships with customers.
- Manage and interpret customer requirements, anticipate issues and exceed their needs. Persuade clients that a product / service will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
- Support marketing, client, and sales activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other events. Create technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet client needs.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, including component overviews to both customers and sales support functions like Inside Sales.
- Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team. Liaise with other members of the sales team and technical experts.
- Share market opportunities and contacts with other members in the sales team as a value add.
Desired Skills & Experience
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field
- Additional degree in Business Administration would be a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Very good communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- Very good interpersonal, consulting and presentation skills.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in the related engineering field.
- Independent problem solving abilities and out of the box thinking.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines form start to finish.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in selling Safety Equipments related products to the Oil & gas Industry.
