CH2M HILL Nuclear Licensing Specialist - Abu Dhabi, UAE
The challenge? To work as a member of the Nuclear Licensing and Regulatory Affairs team on performing full range of licensing and regulatory tasks required to license and operate a nuclear power plant. This position is responsible for taking a leadership role in tasks to ensure that the plant is licensed effectively and efficiently in compliance with all applicable regulations. This role will work on a large, complex project involving the development of new Commercial Nuclear Power Plants in the United Arab Emirates.

Our Nuclear Licensing and Permitting Specialist will:
•Work side-by-side with the client in the client’s program office.
•Develop plans, identify input and support needed, and prepare licensing submittals by translating the safety information (technical input)into comprehensive license applications that satisfy all applicable regulatory and technical requirements.
• Research regulatory topics and develop technical and regulatory strategies to resolve technical and regulatory issues associated with the nuclear power plant.
•Interact with UAE regulatory agencies, IAEA, ENEC, and Prime Contractor in the development of regulatory framework for the UAE.
• Develop ENEC regulatory processes and procedures for use by ENEC and the Prime Contractor in carrying our the licensing function.
•Review and comment on draft regulations, review industry operating experience, work and develop regulatory strategies for addressing emerging regulatory issues.
•Devise methods of compliance with new regulations and provide training and instruction to affected ENEC organizations as needed.
•Coach, mentor, and side-by-side work with client staff to build skills, experience and long-term delivery capacity in the client’s organization. This effort is as significant a requirement as the development of the Nuclear License documents.

You should be a self-motivated professional with five years experience in the Commercial Nuclear Licensing field, and strong knowledge of nuclear licensing regulations and how to implement them, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.
