Job Description

Overview:
This position will be accountable for the Quality Management (ISO, HSEQ & Six Sigma) aspects across Petrotec Group companies. Focus is on guiding and mentoring the department by utilising previous experience and knowledge. Does not work under supervision to acquire skills and knowledge.

The quality manager ensures that the product or service the organization provides is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. The position also monitors and advises on the performance of the Quality Management System, produces data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators and builds a culture of Business Excellence. The position also liaises with other managers and staff throughout
the organization to ensure that the QMS system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the quality manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.

Responsibilities:
Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation by
setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring the targets are achieved while maintaining
awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues;
Assessing the product / service specifications of the company and its suppliers, and
comparing with customer requirements and ensuring compliance with national and
international standards and legislation;
Considering the application of environmental and health and safety standards;
Establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply and defining quality procedures
in conjunction with operating staff;
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training;
Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, evaluated and investigated
if necessary;
Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks;
Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures;
Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods;
Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and
compliance with customers' specifications;
Establishing standards of service for customers or clients;
Desired Skills & Experience

Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
Additional certification in Six Sigma would be a plus.
Experience managing Quality Department in an Oil Field Services organization would be a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong fundamental knowledge in management systems such as ISO 9000, philosophies such as Six Sigma & Total Quality Management, and methodologies such as Continuous Improvement.
Very good communication skills (Verbal & Written), interpersonal, consulting and presentation skills.
Independent problem solving abilities and out of the box thinking.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills.
Ability to adhere to deadlines form start to finish.
Experience:
Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in Quality Management specific to the Oil & Gas Services industry.
