Key accountabilities & Activities/Decision Areas
Product strategy and roadmap
- Develop and own product strategy and roadmap with valid inputs from cross functional teams for VAS
- Socialise and agree plan with Executive approval
New product development / Go-To-Market
- Deliver new products according to the overall strategy and integrated roadmap
- Engage with all key stakeholders and lead virtual teams to deliver products on time in the Vodafone sales channels and ensure support throughout the company.
- Be the Marketing owner and interface into Technology and outsourced partners for requirements definition to ensure we are always delivering an awesome customer experience!
Products Lifecycle Management
- Lead effective delivery of the product roadmap; manage the post launch lifecycle of products; liaise with Marketing Managers as well as with customer facing teams in order to capture new insights, comprehend deficiencies, and trigger & proceed into enhancements and corrective actions.
- Ensure that products are competitive and/or innovative, substantiates the Vodafone brand promise & are alligned with the organizational objectives. Own and ensure commercial success of portfolio including P&L and non-financial KPIs.
- Ensure that product specific processes meet customer experience requirements.
Global engagement
- Interact with Vodafone Group for the delivery of Global propositions where relevant.
- Engage in best practice sharing with Group in the areas of responsibility, analyse recommended propositions, and proceed into localisation based on analysis results.
Key Outputs/Metrics
- Produce product strategy & roadmap with Executive stakeholder engagement for Value Added Services (VAS)
- Responsible for product revenue, ARPU and margin targets
- Deliver products that are working and over achieving the demand of the different market segments
- Constantly monitor the market and develop enhancements that improve the customer experience and add useful features.
People interfaces
- Leading Technology, Communications, Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Online, Retail, Distribution and wider Marketing team for product initiative
- Managing, consulting and negotiating with external partners for product initiatives
Desired Skills & Experience
- An experienced product manager with an expert understanding of value added services
- A marketer with strong commercial experience and very good understanding of the Technology systems that form the baseline of modern Telecommunication providers
- Proven experience in developing in-depth understanding of consumer behaviour & capable of incorporating this knowledge into product features and offerings
- Experience in dealing with complex technical and commercial issues in high value services.
- Strong English communication skills – both written and verbal
