Licensed Aircraft Avionics Engineer - Qatar Executive - Qatar Airways - Doha


Job Description

Qatar Executive is the business jet charter operation of Qatar Airways.  We operate a young fleet of Bombardier Challenger 605 and Global aircraft from our base in Doha, Qatar.
We are seeking a Licensed Aircraft Avionics Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the serviceability and functionality of the aircraft avionics, electronics and on board cabin entertainment systems installed in Qatar Executive and third party aircraft In this process he must utilise the highest standards of practice in accordance with QCAA/EASA regulations and QR standards and procedures to ensure the continued safety of flight for these aircraft
 
Key accountabilities include:
Performing the scheduled and unscheduled avionics, electronics and cabin entertainment maintenance activities. Defining priorities of defects to be rectified and liaising closely with the Lead Engineer to ensure that the required resources are available to complete the task within the agreed timeframe. Proactively finding solutions to the defects to ensure efficient resolution while adhering to both regulatory and company policies and standards. Responsibility for the final release of work accomplished by both himself and assigned technicians and/or mechanics.
 
Desired Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you'll be a Licensed Engineer capable of holding a minimum of one QE aircraft type authorization. Preference will be given to candidates endorsed on the Challenger 300, Challenger 604/605 and/or Global aircraft. You'll hold a recognized diploma in aircraft trade, be a holder of ICAO Type II avionics license, preferably EASA License. As well as 8 years aircraft maintenance experience with a minimum of 3 years as a Licensed Avionics Engineer you will have an In depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and a sound knowledge of air legislation. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills in both written and spoken English, the ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure and be able to work independently as well as function as part of a team, as required.

Job Description The Manager Work Health and Safety works within the Corporate Crisis Management and Safety Department responsible for providing Management with advice and guidance on matters relating to Health and Safety. This role will champion and promote occupational health and safety awareness, develop, monitor and update the Safety Management System and conduct audit compliance with the system. This is to ensure that safety related functions and activities such as risk assessments, inspections, training and accident investigation are being satisfactorily resourced and undertaken by department managers. The position is based in QR Head Office in Qatar and will require the candidate to operate as a subject matter expert globally across the Qatar Airways group. He/she will be the custodian of the Corporate Work Health & Safety manual and will perform an advisory service to the management team in all related matters including interpreting proposed legislation, policies and procedures. Manager OTA (Online Travel Agents) and Retail - Qatar Airways - Qatar


Job Description The Manager Online Travel Agencies (OTA) and Retail works within Network Sales Department. Key to this role is driving multinational partnerships agreement with key Online Travel Agencies (OTA) partners as well as driving the OTA sales strategy throughout the network. There will be a lot of coordination with other departments and team within Commercial such as Global Leisure Sales, Field Leisure Sales, Revenue Management/Pricing team and Marketing team. Specific responsibilities include daily account management with OTA partners, preparation of account review documents and monitoring the implementation of marketing plans. Part of the role is benchmarking key Retail groups in building senior level relationships to optimize opportunity to negotiate global partnership deals. Online Sales Manager / E-commerce Qatar Airways - Doha


Job Description

The Manager is in charge of the airline’s overall E-commerce Sales and Self-Service programmes, encompassing global budgeting, KPI setting and to contribute to the overall revenue generation for the airline.The overall objective of this role is to increase the direct-sales channel share and self servicing penetration whilst ensuring a 5-star customer experience for the direct sales and servicing channel.

The manager is also in charge of overseeing the customer service operations to support the E-channels via the global contact centre environment by phone, email and online chat.

The Managers responsibilities furthermore include site management of qatarairways.com to ensure product merchandising, fares & availability and overall site conversion are being monitored and optimised on an ongoing basis with the aim of maximising revenue generation while maintaining a high quality of customer service and site content delivery.
Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualification:
Post-grad/Master in business or marketing related studies preferred
In depth understanding of E-commerce sales and marketing mechanisms
Formal training on airline reservation and ticketing systems (Amadeus preferred)
Fluency of English a must
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 10 years experience in the field of E-commerce (either in an Agency or E-commerce department of a company )
At least 5 years work experience in an airline or Online Travel Agent
Prior experience working in a head office of a multi-national company an advantage
Must have experience working in more than one geographical region (continent) and prior exposure to a multi-cultural work environment
Job Specific Skills:
Good presentation skills and ability and confidence to present to EVPC and Senior Management level
Solid understanding of the airline or online travel retail industry
