Regional Director Product Management - MoneyGram International - Dubai


Job description
This role has been created to support a new global product management function. The role is to understand regional business needs (primary focus Middle East and South Asia), create and deliver the regional product roadmap. This role also represents the global product management function within the region and the region within the EAAA product function.



Create and gain agreement on regional business priorities and develop the regional product roadmap. Define the regional product priorities and influence global product priorities based on regional opportunities. Provide regular region wide status updates. Working with regional leaders as well as Marketing, Finance and global product and planning colleagues – 10%.
Project manage and own the business requirements, prioritization and delivery of initiatives within region, ensuring it meets regional business, agent, teller and consumer needs. Evaluate and test solutions provided by Application Development (IT) and other departments to ensure they meet business requirements and have a positive impact on consumers, tellers and agent experience. Ensure organization and marketing activities are ready to support new product features and launches – 30%.
Represent global product management within the regions, supporting new revenue opportunities with current global product capability and ensuring product initiatives are in line with global product strategies and promoting cross functional and cross regional communication and input. Represent product on new sales initiatives and challenge regional business cases – 30%.
Understand and promote internally the regional business, consumer, teller and agent needs. Working with regional leader, marketing and operations to gather insights as well as gain first hand input with direct interaction with consumers, tellers and agents. Represent these customers on own regional projects, global product projects as well as projects driven by other departments that affect the customer experience within the region, for example compliance. Create business cases for regionally driven initiatives – 20%.
Share challenges and provide solutions to improve processes, documentation and communication across product and across the regional organisation to better meet regional needs/opportunities/challenges. Working with regional leads as well as gaining input from product managers in EAAA team and global product and planning colleagues - 10%.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Required: Degree level, MBA an advantage.

Minimum Required: 10 years working in a financial services organization across regions.
