Commercial Planning and Pricing Manager Vodafone Qatar - Qatar


Job Description Role Purpose   1. Responsible for the commercial planning process, working closely with the rest of the marketing functions and other parts of the business to deliver an integrated plan aligned with VFQ financial KPIs and strategic goals. 2. Drive & execute pricing strategy & roadmap for VFQ tariffs & products. 3. Monitor ongoing performnace, highlight gaps and recomend actions   Key Accountabilities    Pricing Ensure that VFQ maintains a competitive / profitable tariff/ product portfolio Analyse tariff / product/market performance, issues and opportunities. Proactively identify opportunities for revenue growth and customer base expansion. Follow a segmented pricing approach, where possible, based on analysis of customer insights. Contribute in & implement the roadmap of Global and Local products and services that address the needs of the respective user segments. Ensure pricing excellence & principles in all go to market products and propositions. Ensure extended use of pricing tools to support decision making (research, CDI, pilots, financial models, best practice) Planning Contribute in building and executing a marketing plan, working with the other marketing & sales teams, in line with the growth targets Deliver timely and accurate commercial budget/forecasts Develop a robust and flexible planning model Develop segmented plans and measure segments performance against plans highlighting gaps and recommending actions Review business main KPIs to understand the causes of deviation Works closely with the Decision Support team to embed the above assumptions & business reviews into the budget Performance management Ensure that all commercial teams’ activities are alligned with company’s budget Ensure that product / proposition / segment managers are part of the budget submission process (in the respective areas of ownership) & always updated. Facilitate development of key performance measures to be monitored daily and weekly, working with key stakeholders across all levels. Organise and manage development of ongoing reporting working cross-functionally with data warehouse and finance teams. Present key findings to marketing and executive leadership teams through production & communication of daily and weekly reports. Competition monitoring and competitive comparisons Forecasting & monitoring market and revenue market shares. Conduct comparisons on pricing across products in the market and identify gaps and propose actions. Monitor competitor pricing moves and inform the business and recommend reactive scenarios. Global engagement Interact with Group Pricing Teams, for the delivery of Global propositions. Engage in best practice sharing with Group in the areas of responsibility, analyze recommended propositions, and proceed into localisation based on analysis results. Key outputs / metrics Provide forecasts for all budgetary rounds Track, understand, analyze and communicate performance daily/weekly/monthly. Maintain competitive tariff portfolio  People interfaces Marketing team Finance team Sales team Legal & Regulatory team Leadership team Executive team Desired Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience in pricing &/or planning (4-8 years of experience) Strong analytical skills & logical reasoning Excellent in understanding consumer behaviour & capable of incorporating this knowledge into commercial offerings Strong understanding of telecom industry Strong communication & interpersonal skills
