Requirements: The Logistics Operations Specialist will provide analytical and management support to the customer and senior leaders for complete Kuwait Theater Analysis, JPO-FWD Planning, and budget development with a focus on Logistics functions.

- Involved JPO-FWD mission planning, current operations, training management and budget planning focused primarily in the field of logistics. Responsibilities will include detailed analysis with identification of implications and trade-offs, staff and agency coordination, and development of recommendations on parts requirements generation and resourcing;
- Practical experience with logistics automation to include but not limited to: Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS), Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Integrated Logistics Analysis Program (ILAP), Standard Army Maintenance System - Enhanced (SAMS-1E); General Services Administration Advantage (GSA) procurement process
- Responsibilities will include interfacing with JPO Logistics cell, JLI Maintenance directors, APMs, and the planning cells, both CONUS and FWD. Detailed analysis of implications and trade-offs, staff and agency coordination, and development of recommendations on logistics force requirements generation, and equipping and equipment related issues;
- Will be required to produce quick turn analysis and draft presentations in succinctly written papers and oral briefings;
- Collects data and performs statistical analysis and maps and documents processes;
- Must have demonstrated experience in authoring logistics estimate, and planning documents
- Recommends continuous improvement opportunities;
- Supports the design and implementation of Supply Chain Solutions;
- Establishes and tracks Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measures for logistic operations in Kuwait.
- Acts as the DOL-KU in his/her absence

EDUCATION/SKILLS: BS/BA or equivalent (6yrs) in Logistics, Business (Project Management, Management), or Math preferred and an additional 8 years of experience. In lieu of degree 14 yrs of experience is required.
- minimum 10 years experience in Logistic and military operations.
- Experience in Retrograde operations, property accountability and shipping required.
- Working knowledge of military maintenance processes.
- Disciplined analytical approach to problem solving. Ability to identify problems, develop alternatives, pursue tradeoffs and recommend hard choices as they apply to mission planning.
- Superior analytical writing and public speaking skills. Proficiency in MS Office Word, Power Point, Excel and Access.
- Able to work as a team and has a proven team building and leadership record.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Must possess a secret clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Division and lower level tactical experience in maintenance and supply operation to include conducting queries of the maintenance and logistics systems for status of supply and shipping.
