Job Description

This Finance position exists to support the Vodafone Qatar business through:
Designing and working with developers to deliver DWH solutions to the business.
Ensuring the DWH environment maintains a high standard in terms of data quality and reliability.
Providing support to the wider business around reporting and analysis needs.
Capturing, collating and documenting business requirements for the DWH.
Work closely with the team, internal and external, to ensure the business receives a high level of service.
Ensure developed solutions meet the business requirements and the DWH’s quality standards.

Role requirements

1. Capturing and Designing Business Intelligence Requirements
Capturing and documenting DWH business requirements and processes.
Translating business requirements into documented DWH solutions.
2. DWH Development support
Data-modelling new DWH models and enhancements to the existing.
Interfacing with developers to ensure business priorities are transferred and delivered.
Quality Assurance testing to support both developers and the business.
Supporting the environment to ensure the business is served with a reliable, accurate, high quality DWH solution.
3. Build and Maintain Relationships with Key Stakeholders
Develop relationships with the all functional areas to understand their goals and strategies, supporting them as required.
Maintain relationships though regular meetings and dialogue to ensure the business remains engaged.
Make it "easy" for your (often non-technical/financial) customers to deal with you.
Proactively assisting key users with query design and DWH knowledge sharing.
Manage customer expectations.
4. Process Improvement
Creating and Improving DWH processes to support and enhance the service to the business
Proactively align priorities to ensure the business receives deliverables on time and to a high standard.
5. Reporting Analysis
Providing analysis from the DWH to support different business functions including Financial Planning and Commercial Support, Customer Value Management, etc.
Support the DWH function to ensure business reporting needs are meet.
6. Problem Resolution
Identify and Investigate root causes of data or other DWH issues.
Work with technology partners to resolve and escalate when necessary.
Design solutions, working with developers to resolve in a timely manner.
7. Team Player
Manage interfaces between Functional teams.
A team player, sharing valuable experiences with peers, challenging each others ideas and working with each other when necessary.

Must haves:
Data Warehouse Analyst Experience
A good level of understanding of PL/SQL and Oracle
Relationship Management Skills
Good communication skills and a confident approach.
Nice to haves:
Telecommunications experience
Star schema modelling experience
Wherescape Red ETL experience
Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting Experience
