Business Development & Planning Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Business Development & Planning Analyst you will be responsible for conducting analyses in support of business development and planning projects and initiatives in Middle East to provide management with business intelligence and support on strategic initiatives.

Specifically, you will:

  • Monitor market dynamics indicators to forecast emerging market trends and suggest respective actions to enhance competitive position of Philip Morris International brands on a market and profitability growth.
  • Collect, process and appraise economic, industry and market related data to develop financial models, assess the impact of various business scenarios. Formulate clear recommendations out of the analyses.
  • Develop and/or maintain financial models, i.e. market value, volume, profitability, tax scenarios, etc. to support competitor / industry assessments and management decision making process.
  • Provide management with regular updates on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for each function and where possible, benchmark the results against key competitors. Timely draw management attention to the critical issue areas and recommend solutions and corrective actions.
  • Monitor actual performance versus set objectives, defined strategies and action plans and reflect key findings in relevant management reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide necessary support in preparing business presentations.
  • Co-operate with all members of the team to ensure proactive internal communications and effective teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • You have an University degree in Finance or Economics
  • You have advanced expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have excellent command in English (both written and spoken)
  • You have very good analytical skills
  • You are comfortable to communicate at any level of organization
