The area: Business and Operations Strategy

The Global Sales Strategy and Operations team plays a critical role in making Google more successful. We work to identify and address opportunities and threats to our business, ensuring we grow long-term revenue and profits as effectively as possible. This involves structuring problems, analysing data, making recommendations and driving implementation/operations - working closely with Google's sales, product, engineering, finance, and HR teams.

The role: Head of Operations and Strategy, MENA, Russia, Africa and the Czech Republic

You will be part of the SEEMEA (Southern & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) Sales Operations group, leading regional strategic and operational initiatives critical to the ongoing growth in the region. You will work directly with the SEEMEA VP of Sales and his management team to ensure both the short term running of the business as well as the development and implementation of longer term projects. This involves structuring problems, analyzing data, making recommendations and driving implementation / operations - working closely with the regional directors and their teams as well as marketing, finance, HR, and product. In this role you will be a key member of the Leadership team for this regional cluster. You will act as the cluster’s sales operations lead and enable the successful delivery of business plans by creating a business rhythm that allows the management to track performance, identify shortfalls and opportunities, and execute main initiatives in the country. You will also be responsible for cascading regional strategy into each country and integrating this country cluster into global initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the regional sales operations lead, with a focus on sales execution and revenue generation
• Shape strategic direction for MENA, Africa, Russia and the Czech Republic in partnership with country leadership
• Provide consistent metrics to understand and improve business performance, both revenue and productivity (sales efficiency and effectiveness)
• Identify/prioritize revenue opportunities (e.g., country, sales channel, vertical, product) and develop programs to capture (test, implement) and ensure appropriate resource allocation (e.g., sales teams, opex, sales tech support) to achieve revenue and productivity goals
• Coordinate with other countries and import best practices from across the world

Requirements:

• MBA or graduate degree in a management, technical, or engineering field preferred
• Hands-on experience managing high-performing teams and a demonstrated ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives
• Experience in the software, Consulting, Internet and/or media industries preferred
• Strategic thinkers with experience presenting solutions to senior-level audiences (operational experience preferred)
• Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate in a clear manner
• Demonstrated strong performance at the operations function or senior field management of a leading company
