As a result of continued expansion in Navigant’s Qatar and Middle East business, we are seeking a Director to join the leadership of our Planning & Programming business unit, based in Doha. This is an opportunity for candidates with deep industry knowledge to combine business development, consulting skills and proven operational management capability.

Directors at Navigant are very hands on, and take full responsibility for driving growth and delivering value to clients. Previous experience in providing “expert” consultancy involving complex international, cross-border disputes on matters of delay would be essential.
Key Responsibilities
The role will be accountable for:
Building strong relationships with new and existing clients
Providing creative “thought” leadership, developing strategy to support the needs of clients and the growth of the business
Organising the team to ensure excellence in providing high quality advice and service delivery
Continuing to build Navigant’s reputation in the business and legal community
Working closely with the existing leadership team in a collaborative way to drive the business forward
Attracting exceptional people to support the business at every level as required, forming a succession plan for the future
The Person
Background and Experience
This person is well networked and highly regarded by the business and legal community as an expert in providing consultancy advice on planning and programming disputes or quantum issues on capital investments.
This person will be able to demonstrate how they have built a business based on developing relationships, nurturing trust and successfully executing major pieces of consultancy advice for their clients. They may be the “lead” or ready to step in to the number one role and are looking to join a team where they will be recognised directly for their achievements and good work.
More specifically, the person will possess:
Broad experience across a range of construction/engineering projects
Planning experience with tender and project programming
Experience as an expert (not necessarily with courtroom experience) in delay claims and disputes on construction/engineering projects
Good understanding of project control and management systems
Relationships with lawyers and clients
Flexible attitude to working and be prepared to work overseas for short periods
An external focus, comfortable dealing and negotiating with senior executives and building rapport with the legal community
