Responsible for all logistical aspects of the annual WISH summit and own the event project plan; lead an in-house team based in Doha consisting of 5 people who will support delivery of annual summit and deliver a range of supporting WISH activities, including WISH outreach activities and commercial revenue generation (e.g. sponsorship), resource and delegate policy/management.
Project management – create and own the event project plan for the annual summit and risk register throughout the event lifecycle. Provide regular management reports on event progress against plan. Ensure close working with Forum Director and Director of Programmes on summit content.
Event management – manage Doha based in-house delivery team and relationships with QF (e.g. procurement, finance and communications directorates) who deliver operational support for summit. Lead on procurement of event management company working with QF procurement and manage contract to ensure excellence in delivery and value for money.
Representational – deputise for WISH CEO in their absence.
Governance – support WISH governance processes and structures i.e. quarterly Board meetings and bi-annual Advisory Board meetings.
Resource management – oversight of WISH annual business planning, resource management and procurement processes to ensure the WISH project remains within budget, adherence to QF processes and value for money.
Outreach/brand development – oversight of development and delivery of WISH outreach campaign to build brand, develop partnerships and generate revenue; engage in and contribute to activities.
Revenue generation – oversight of development of sponsorship plan and effective sales offer and material to support sponsorship sales and possible exhibitor sales (tbc); engage in and contribute to sales activity.
Delegate management – oversight of delegate management processes, including delegate policy, list development and invitee processes.
Staff management – lead team of 5 people; manage performance appraisal and career development for direct reportees.

Experience
10 years of full-time work experience in an event management/delivery role preferably in a large and diverse organisation at management level, this includes experience of marketing and revenue generation.
3-5 years international experience.
Awareness of the current developments in global health systems and/or innovation would be desirable
Experience in the Middle East Region and knowledge of Qatar Foundation would be an added advantage.
Education
Master’s degree or professional qualification in related field.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
