Director Marketing Viceroy Hotel Group Abu Dhabi

Job Description:
The Director of Marketing forms part of the Sales & Marketing team. The Marketing department consists of 4 colleagues at present, which includes marketing, communications, public relations and e-commerce.
The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing the hotel’s strategic plan for communications and advertising in a timely manner, accountable for maintaining the integrity of the Viceroy brand, leading and developing a diverse team and reinforcing relationships with clients, media representatives, local tourism authority, PR agencies and other business partners.
This leader creates Public Relations positioning and strategy to strengthen the Viceroy brand and works closely with the regional sales and marketing team to maximize the integration of marketing and PR opportunities to support Yas Viceroy and the Viceroy brand. The Director of Marketing creates and executes robust hotel digital strategy, including social media content.

Strategy

He or she actively participates in the strategic planning and ongoing development of the hotel including brand awareness and positioning.

Process

The Director of Marketing supports departments in the achievement of their revenue targets by developing and communicating a clear marketing vision for each business sub-unit. He or she will manage in compliance with established company policies and procedures, as well as in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations. This person actively participates in the hotel’s consultative committee, and other committees as applicable.

The Candidate Brings Along a Minimum Experience Of 3 Years At Leadership Level (as a Director Of Marketing) In Large International 5 Star Luxury Hotels, With At Least 1 Year Experience Within The GCC, Having

Very standards driven, can implement, review, develop and benchmark standards to ensure the organisation becomes and remains world-class
Excellent ability to build strong and lasting relationships, interact and influence others at all levels within and outside of the organisation
Experienced in writing press releases, developing and conducting presentations and working together with media to maximize the brand awareness
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of internal and external communications, with a strong background in developing and executing hotel F&B strategies
Effective problem-solving skills, takes ownership and demonstrates resourcefulness in challenging situations
Self-confident, intuitive, able to prioritise and make effective decisions
A calm demeanour, naturally pleasant and helpful towards guests and colleagues alike
Highly creative individual, nurtures the team to ‘think outside of the box’, and develops innovative marketing strategies and visually-compelling imagery, in line with our unique product
Experienced in managing processes, advocate of organizational change, drives strong team collaboration, with a sense of urgency to achieve results in line with the budget
High computer literacy, with a strong knowledge of MS Office applications, to maximise departmental efficiency of internal communications and organisation
Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
