A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Director of Food & Beverage to join the pre-opening team for Jumeirah Al Naseem at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort.
Reporting to the General Manager, the main purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership support to ensure the Food & Beverage function achieves its goals and positively contributes to the guest experience and profitability of the Al Naseem.
Actively contributes to the successful opening of Madinat Jumeirah – Al Naseem and ensuring the set-up of an efficient and effective Food & Beverage process during the opening phase.
Develops Food & Beverage strategy, creates exciting guest experiences, concepts and activities to meet and exceed the business objectives.
Sets clear KPI goals for all Outlet Managers.
Develop, implement and monitor the 5 Year Food & Beverage Plan.
Participates in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan, and Sales & Marketing Plans to ensure Food & Beverage function is adequately represented.
Ensures that each outlet is accounted for separately as an individual profit centre and is managed by an empowered leader, accountable for profitability.
Works with respective outlet managers on annual budget and ensures accurate forecasting.
Monitors activities and trends of local and international competition and keeps up to date with international trends to ensure competitive advantage.
Monitors closely the performance of all Food & Beverage outlets and service areas and takes proactive measures to drive performance.
Ensures that HACCP and all local regulations are adhered to ensure the highest health, safety and food hygiene standards.
Makes recommendations for modernisation of equipment, service methods, and presentation to improve guest satisfaction and profits.
Initiates special promotions and activities to generate additional revenue and popular interest.
Participates in public relations activities, sales calls or other promotional activities designed to enhance the image and profitability of Food & Beverage.
Actively participates in the monthly worldwide Executive Food & Beverage Call.
Actively participates in Jumeirah Food & Beverage activities and shares best practice.
Provides on-going feedback to coach and counsel his / her team to success.
