Senior Financial Planner Vodafone - Qatar - Doha

Job Description

Role Purpose
Lead the financial planning during all budgeting cycle
Be business partner to HR, Legal & Regulatory and Finance executives and leadership team
Provide financial and commercial insights into the performance of the company
Financial Responsibility (Budget or P&L etc.): Responsibility to drive business to deliver on budgeted KPIs for Vodafone Qatar.
Business Responsibility (customers/staff etc): People interfaces- HR, Legal & Regulatory and Finance executives and leadership team, Finance Business Partners for respective functions, Vodafone Group Finance (AMAP region), wider Finance team
 
Role Accountabilities (Financial, customer, operational, KPI’s etc.)
Leading in the preparation of the financial plans with the support of Finance Business Partners of respective functions. This includes annual budget, 2+10F, 5+7F and 3 Year Plan
Be business partner to HR, Legal & Regulatory and Finance by delivering performance reports and communicate the key areas for attention to non financial personnel
Preparation of monthly rolling forecast and being proactive in raising red flags for deviation against annual budget
Preparation of monthly financial performance pack and ad hoc analysis in terms of actual performance
Developing and maintaining key management reports of both financial and non financial metrics
Develop management reporting for the business that supports the best financial and business performance
To develop relationships with the other functional areas and to understand their goals and strategies, supporting them as required. At all times the overall mandate is to ensure management have the necessary tools and information to ensure they are aware of performance against plan.
Review cost efficiencies and make recommendations to the Executive and their management team thereon
The provision of proactive service which delights both internal and external customers
Responding to ad hoc queries from the business functions including supporting Finance Business Partners of respective functions.
Submit financial plans through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) to Vodafone Group ie preparing HFM load file for all forecast cycles, perform checks and balance to reconcile loaded numbers and ensure all HFM lines are populated
Working with Financial Operations team to ensure correct mapping of budget into SAP
Group Reporting – ensure team is updated with latest changes to HFM COA and any ad hoc analysis required by Vodafone Group
