Resource Development Manager Job at Microsoft


Managing the best and brightest IT Advisors & Architect talent in IT services today- that is role of the World Wide Services Professional Development Resource Manager (PDRM). The PDRM typically manages 20 to 30 billable consultants through which they drive customer satisfaction and services revenue. The Professional Development Resource Manager (PDRM) drives customer satisfaction and services revenue through consultant direction and guidance.
PDRM's :
Meet team billable utilization goals
Participate in pracitce resource and capacity planning processes, use conclusions to re-skill or adjust consultant resource levels
Responsible for assessing the fit between business strategies and current Advisory offerings: develop plans, propose investments and new approaches that lead to enhanced financial results, higher levels of customer satisfaction and improved employee engagement.
Responsible for driving and programming managing Advisory transformation “ITAPv2” that support Enterprise Services 3 year growth aspirations and aligns with the wider Enterprise focus areas
Responsible for provision and maintenance of Advisory business plans incorporating fiscal year execution details while leveraging local planning activities (i.e. Growth Productivity Framework, Segment Alignment Workshops)
Establish proactive targeted pre-sales which includes STU/ATU alignment
Assist Account Services Executives (ASE), Territory Services Executives (TSE), in identifying Advisory solution fit to customer based on customer needs
Drive technical and professional role readiness across their team
Staff local engagements, escalating un-filled engagements as required to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Conduct performance management; direct report meetings to direct, coach, assess impact, reward, and discipline.
Perform talent acquisition and training, to meet assigned headcount goals

Qualifications:
8 - 10 years of related experience
BA or Master's degree
5 years of experience managing at least 25 direct reports.
