Curriculum Development Specialist at Vangent, Inc.

Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the daily activities associated with the organizational learning and performance services initiated at Vangent and its clients. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining moderately complex training programs and related materials in support of employee training objectives.

****THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates******

- Facilitates the development, support and maintenance of all on-boarding and orientation programs and initiatives
- Provides instructional support to all employees involved in educational development programs
- Collaborates with internal peers and personnel to create learning and educational programs and services that positively impact Vangent client's recruitment and retention strategies
- Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
- Analyzes, designs and evaluates employee development classes and programs
- Plans, supports and provides administrative support for various projects within client's environment
Conducts research into new training, educational and multimedia technologies
Skills

Minimum of two (2) years experience as a facilitator, educator or presenter is required
- Minimum of one (1) year health care experience is preferred
- Knowledge of health care and its regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of theories of adult education
- Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office and other PC applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of professional personnel
- Ability to speak and write in English is required
Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or Health Care, or related field, is required
Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, operate audiovisual equipment used during training programs, physically move, lift and carry training equipment and materials, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout client's and Vangent premises, stand in front of an audience for up to eight (8) hours a day and lift up to 30 lbs.
