This position is responsible for the regional coordination and management of the respective Hotel Opening and integration process for new properties coming into the FRHI Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the SVP Operations MEAI, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Provides project leadership throughout all stages of the hotel opening and integration process
Coordinates and prepares hotel pre-opening budgets in conjunction with the various regional corporate disciplines and coordinates presentations to owners.
Monitors project related expenses to budgets.
Provides the framework and templates for the hotel opening and Integration plans with the various corporate disciplines.
Updates and tracks progress on PM.com
Prepares monthly HOI pipeline reports for respective region
Assists the Regional Operations teams, communicating to/with owners on hotel opening related matters
Creates the appropriate hotel opening team atmosphere in order to ensure a smooth transition, which is both on schedule and on budget.
Coordinates transition and task force team resources including providing all necessary documentation, travel information and property information.
Liaisons with Owner representatives regarding timing, budgets and resources.
Communicates project status at regular intervals with all corporate disciplines via meetings and conference calls.
Represents FRHI in Owner and project meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years hotel experience in a department head position.
Strong background in Hotel Operations
Ability to travel depending on opening of hotels, with the understanding that trips may last 3-4 weeks at a time.
University or college education with preferences to those with a hotel management degree
Proven project management skills
Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Previous experience on either a transition team or new hotel opening team.
Proven leadership and problem solving abilities
Ability to adapt to change.
